1. Introduction
Welcome to PDFWrench ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our free browser-based PDF Split & Merge tool available at our website.
By accessing or using PDFWrench, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
PDFWrench provides a client-side tool for splitting and merging PDF files. All processing of PDF files occurs directly within your web browser. No files are uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted to our servers.
3. Use of the Service
- Permitted Use: The Service is intended for personal and non-commercial use.
- User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content of the PDF files you process using the Service and for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, copyright laws and laws regarding confidential or sensitive information.
- Prohibited Use: You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to process files containing illegal material, or to infringe upon the rights of others.
4. No User Accounts or Data Collection
The Service does not require user registration or accounts. We do not collect or store any personal information from users, nor do we collect, store, or access the PDF files you process.
5. No Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defects will be corrected. You acknowledge that your use of the Service is at your sole risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall PDFWrench or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service;
- Any errors or omissions in the Service;
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our Service (though this is mitigated by client-side processing);
- Any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download or use of processed files.
You assume full responsibility for any damage or loss resulting from your use of the Service and for the files you process.
7. Third-Party Advertisements (A-ADS)
PDFWrench is monetized through A-ADS (Anonymous Ads), a third-party advertising platform. These advertisements are displayed on the Service. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these third-party advertisements or the websites they may link to. Your interactions with any third-party advertisements are solely between you and the advertiser.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding user-processed files), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of PDFWrench and its licensors.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide notice prior to any new terms taking effect, though this may not always be feasible. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
